Hi, I wanted to make sure this is legal before I take part in it. So a friend of mine who I have known now for about 15 years wants to get rid of his car because he can no longer afford it. He has about 8k left to pay on the loan for it, and hasn't driven it in about a month because he let the insurance lapse. To get the car off of his hands, he is offering it to me for free, i'll just take over the loan. Here's the thing...my credit is currently rebuilding and I know his bank will probably deny...
